The "Golfer's Handicap System
=============================
This computer program will allow the golfer to keep his own handicap,
using golf scores from any and all courses that he or she may play on.
It uses the USGA approved method of calculating Handicap Differentials,
Handicap Index, and Playing Handicap.
In order to enter scores with this program, four elements are neccess-
ary. They are: 1) Date of Golf Round, 2) Adjusted Golf Score, 3) Course
Rating, and 4) Course Slope. The Adjusted Golf Score is the Gross Score
less those strokes, which are subtracted using the Equitable Stroke
Control method. The Program provides a detailed explanation of Equitable
Stroke Control on the "Golfing Terms" panels. The Course Rating and
Course Slope are usually printed on the Scorecard. If one or both are
not listed on the Scorecard, the personnel in the Pro Shop should be
able to provide this information to you.
This program keeps track of your last twenty golf scores sorted by
date. If you have a number of scores to enter, they may be entered
in any order. The program will sort them out and display them in "most
recent date" order.
The Program also has a "Handicap Card" feature which will print out,
on stock paper, a small report, which may be cut out and carried in
your wallet. The "Handicap Card" will display your name, date of
latest round, Handicap Index, Playing Handicap, and your last twenty
Adjusted Scores. The best ten scores will be indicated with an
asterisk.
